Lochaber is proud to host this prestigious annual international
event, which
is held in May and has been based in Fort William since the early
part of
last century. Motorcycle riders from all over the world compete in
this
"extreme sport", covering different on/off-road routes
around Lochaber on
each of the six days. A real trial of the skill, consistency and
endurance
of the riders, the event is also a gruelling test of the specialised
machines used. Providing a spectacular scenery backdrop, Lochaber
is unique
in the range of natural obstacles used in this unique event.
